The aim of the Directorate of Scintific Affairs the Budapest University of Technology and Economics is to promote research excellence and innovation potential within the university and beyond. The Directorate supports scientific programmes that give BME international visibility while strengthening links with domestic industry and society. In addition to supporting research, the Directorate pays particular attention to talent management, the industrial and economic exploitation of scientific results and the development of innovative solutions for sustainable development. Our mission is based on openness, collaboration and a commitment to excellence, which will enable BME to become a leading player in the international scientific community.

Ranking Office

• Analysis and evaluation of BME's scientific performance.
• Monitoring the university's publication activity and international rankings.
• Collect, organise and evaluate scientific data to support strategic decision-making.
• Analysis of Open Access publications and research activities.

Alumni Office

• To maintain and strengthen the community of BME graduates.
• Organising alumni events such as meetings, conferences and professional workshops.
• Maintaining contacts with graduates and building professional networks.
• Coordinating support opportunities, such as scholarships or mentoring schemes.

Scientific Programme Office

• Coordinate and support the University's scientific programmes.
• Managing internal proposals and organising scientific events.
• Promote international research projects and industrial cooperation.
• Develop strategic scientific programmes and support doctoral schools.
